Tortas de la Casa formalises commitment to exclusive use of cage-free eggs by 2028

The renowned patisserie Home-made cakeswith establishments in Chorrillos, Ate Vitarte and San Juan de Miraflores, has consolidated its commitment to more sustainable and ethically responsible production practices by announcing its transition to the exclusive use of cage-free eggs in its supply chain.

This transformation process started in January 2025 and will be fully completed by 2028. As a result, more than 100,000 eggs per year will come from hens reared in alternative systems to cages, significantly mitigating the suffering of these animals and aligning with international best practices in animal welfare and sustainability.

Commitment to tangible impact

This constitutes the fifteenth corporate commitment achieved by Green CommitmentThe company is consolidating its leadership in the promotion of ethical standards within the Peruvian food industry.
