As part of our national trainings, we visited the School of Zootechnical Engineering of the National University of Trujillo, for the Animal Welfare Training. This event, held in the Copernicus auditorium located on the campus of the UNT, brought together 54 participants interested in promoting ethical and responsible practices in the treatment of animals.
The training was supported by four outstanding specialists: the lawyer Nataly Ramón Castromonte, the zootechnical engineer Victoria Davila Cueva, the biologist Azucena Bazan Peche and the administrator Denisse Takamura Feria. They provided comprehensive training and actively answered all the questions of the participants, demonstrating the great interest that animal welfare awakens in the academic community.
Julia Ramírez Sánchez, Director of the School of Zootechnical Engineering of the National University of Trujillo, said: "We are very grateful to the NGO Compromiso Verde for their valuable animal welfare training. This type of initiative is essential for the training of our future professionals, as it not only enriches the knowledge of our students, but also fosters a genuine commitment to animal welfare, a fundamental value in our career."
Sandra Lopes, Executive Director of the NGO Compromiso Verde, highlighted the importance of these trainings: "Our trainings are fundamental to educate future generations about the horrible conditions in which animals considered for consumption, especially laying hens, are raised in Peru".
This effort is part of a series of initiatives that the NGO Compromiso Verde is carrying out in various regions of the country, aimed at promoting animal welfare and the comprehensive education of future professionals.
