We are proud to announce the successful completion of the Animal Welfare Training at the School of Agronomy of the Universidad Nacional del Santa (UNS). This event took place in the auditorium of the same school located in Campus II of the UNS, gathering 101 participants interested in promoting ethical and responsible practices in the treatment of animals.

The training was supported by four outstanding specialists: the lawyer Nancy Mercedes Burgos, the zootechnician Victoria Davila Cueva, the biologist Azucena Bazán Peche and the administrator Denisse Takamura Feria, who actively instructed and finally resolved all the doubts of the participants, demonstrating the great interest in the subject.

Wilmer Aquino Michayan, Director of the UNS School of Agronomy, said: "We are sincerely grateful to the NGO Compromiso Verde for their valuable participation and contribution to the development of this training for our agronomy students. Their sensitivity to animal welfare is evidence of their commitment to promoting ethical and responsible treatment of animals, and these are values that we want future agronomy professionals to have."

Sandra Lopes, Executive Director of the NGO Compromiso Verde, highlighted the importance of these trainings: "These trainings are fundamental to educate future generations about the new breeding models that seek the freedom of millions of caged animals in Peru. We thank the UNS for opening its doors and allowing more students to learn about the importance of ethical and responsible breeding".
