At Compromiso Verde we believe that laws, institutional alliances and training for decision-makers are key tools to transform the food system. For this reason, we work hand in hand with municipalities, universities, authorities and the public to promote public policies promoting animal welfare and more ethical and sustainable production in Peru.

What do our public policy actions consist of?
- We train authorities and professionals in animal welfare and cage-free production.
- We promote technical dialogue and citizenship in academic and political spaces.
- We push for national legislationThe EU has also adopted a new law, such as the Egg Labelling Law, to ensure transparency for the consumer.
Cage-free commitment
A cage-free commitment is an animal welfare policy that a company makes to transition to the exclusive use of cage-free 100% eggs throughout its supply chain.
The company, of any size, sets a deadline for implementation and publicly announces this measure on its social media and/or website.
More from 2500 companies Nestlé, Bimbo, Unilever, McDonald's, Burger King, Subway, Starbucks, KFC, Marriott, Hilton, Sodexo and Mondelez International have already joined the initiative.
